COMPETITION VEHICLE TECHNICAL REGULATIONS

WHY BE PART OF USRF?

In order to make rally as accessible and enjoyable as possible, we expect to integrate several key features into our (your) organization, as follows. Please see rally and technical rules for more details on each.:

Relatively open rules, allowing a wide variety of vehicles and modifications and/or whatever vehicle you run with other rally organizations. Different types of vehicles, including moto, crosskarts, and side-by-sides.
Both tarmac and gravel rallies.
No medical examination requirements.
No license fee if you already have one from another rally organization (or certain other motorsport organizations, to be announced) - use the license you already have. The only thing you buy from us is an annual membership, which is good for 370 days from the day you get it (so run the same rally twice with one membership if it falls within that time frame!)
Use your number from other organizations (first entered with that number). And no stickers or banners to buy. A banner will be included with your membership, and stickers to cover up other organization stickers during the rally. But you don’t need to take off those $70 number panels!
Supplemental classes and awards for historic cars, different 2WD drivetrains, rookies, and creative/grassroots builds and the possibility of additional supplemental classes if enough people ask for them.
Novices play by the same rules as everyone else - no additional vehicle restrictions. In addition, USRF will offer a mentoring program from experienced competitors, organizers, and volunteers to help you along the way to the stages. In addition, we will offer several rallysprints where you can gain experience and knowledge.

The ability for the competitors to give input on rule and organizational changes via the Competitors' Committee, which exists to represent YOU (Some of the above points may be adjusted if decided by the Competitors’ Committee or outside requirements (insurance, local laws, etc.) -, but they are currently our intent!)
